In addition, the air in this area quite cool and sometimes cold, because the valley is situated at an altitude of 2500mdpl. To achieve Baliem Valley, we have to fly from Jayapura by commercial aircraft.
Destinations is a leading destination for other than its natural scenery and tourist potential, in this Baliem there are many tribes with traditional still life, such as the Dani tribe, tribal Yalli and Hughulla. Dani tribe inhabit most of this Baliem Valley area. The character is still very tradisioinal Dani tribe, even most of them still wear traditional clothes with penis sheath (koteka) or sali. People in this Baliem Valley has a culture war between tribes that are now brought from ancestral and cultural attractions appointed war that became a favorite attraction of tourists, especially foreign tourists.

Upon arrival at Wamena, usually we will be overrun by Porter, guides, and souvenir vendors. It is better if we are careful in choosing the Guide, and define/agree on the rules at the beginning. Like how much should we give tariff, whichever destination we will visit, and of course we have to make sure we select the right guide who understand this area. For if not, it will be making our own future. Because the local culture is very hard.
